An experienced Senior Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant, ideally with some experience of working in family law, though not crucial.

A junior secretarial role with a view to progression. No experience necessary though strong keyboard/typing skills are essential.

Overview

Duties



Prepare and type legal documents through dictation systems Manage and organise legal files, correspondence, and case documentation with meticulous attention to detail Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings using Microsoft Outlook, ensuring effective time management Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence professionally, maintaining excellent communication with clients and colleagues Maintain accurate records of case progress and ensure all deadlines are met Support the legal team with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying

Requirements



Proven administrative experience, preferably within a family legal environment or similar professional setting Strong audio typing skills with high accuracy and speed Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Outlook Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Good communication skills both written and verbal IT literacy with the ability to adapt to new software or systems quickly Effective time management skills to handle multiple deadlines efficiently Attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive information
This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking a challenging position that combines administrative expertise with a professional legal environment. Prior experience in keyboard skills/typing and familiarity with family legal procedures will be considered very advantageous.
