Contract: Full time / permanent (35 hours per week)





As a Senior Publisher, in our STM Journals team, you'll be driving forward our exciting and ambitious journals programme by leading the successful launch of a new suite of materials journals.

About the role





We're looking for a strategic and experienced Senior Publisher to launch and lead a new portfolio of materials journals. You will be empowered to drive growth, quality, and impact, manage key relationships, and guide a small team--all while shaping the future of scholarly publishing. As part of this role, you will:




Set and execute portfolio strategy aligned with organisational goals. Build strong relationships with editors and authors. Monitor performance and drive improvements. Manage and mentor a small publishing team.



About you







This role is right for you if you're a strategic thinker with a passion for scientific publishing. You have a strong track record in launching and developing journals in materials science, or a closely related field, and you have a well-established network of contacts in the field. You bring deep knowledge of the scholarly landscape, including open research trends, and thrive on building strong relationships with editors, authors, and colleagues. With proven leadership experience, you're confident managing a team and driving portfolio success.
