What We Do
PSSI is a Supplier of industrial products and services. Our main areas of interest are:
Hydraulic hoses, including on-site replacement
Quality compressors and pneumatics, including on-site servicing
Quality welders and consumables
Hydraulic power packs and components
Oils, lubricants and greases & associated pumps, funnels, nozzles etc
Pressure wash machines, hoses, lances, spares and components
Metal removal (drill bits, grinding & cutting discs)
PPE hi viz clothing and safety boots
Vehicle and trailer lighting components
Power distribution products - bearings, belts
Service Technician
Using well equipped van to service compressors and do on-site hydraulic hose replacement
Helping out in the depot when not otherwise occupied
Using Sage account package
Answering phone enquiries
Occasionally ordering products from suppliers
Training will be given as necessary
Site work - Quarry Passport
Compressor servicing and repair - Supplier based training
Hydraulic hose assembly - In house
Sage Accounts Package - In house
Person Specification
Engineering / technical / service background or aptitude
Reasonably fit and strong as the job occasionally calls for heavy lifting or getting into difficult positions to access equipment etc.
Personable - forming positive relationships with staff and (most) customers is essential
High level of patience - Job involves lots of customer contact which can be taxing.
Flexibility - we have a tradition of making the most of staff strengths and working round the weaknesses. This means we try to dovetail everyone's skills to create the best working environment, which we think generates happy, loyal staff
Flexible attitude to working hours - important stuff always seems to happen at the beginning and end of the normal working day. We match this flexibility to try and fit in around your personal commitments
Reasonable level of numeracy and literacy
