We're looking for a creative, organised, and knitting-savvy

Social Media Manager

to join our core team. This role will lead our marketing strategy, create beautiful and engaging content, and help coordinate our product launches and collaborations.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Content Creation

Develop and implement marketing strategies, plans and campaigns across social media platforms. Create engaging photo and video content showcasing our yarns, kits, and community. Manage Qing Fibre's social media presence -- including Instagram, TikTok? Youtube, Pinterest, and others -- ensuring a consistent, creative brand voice. Help write and schedule newsletters, website copy, and product descriptions.

Product & Release Planning

Support the planning and execution of new product releases and shop updates. Photograph new yarns, samples, and kits, ensuring visuals align with brand aesthetics. Coordinate timelines and communications between the dye studio, sample knitters, and marketing team.

Community & Collaborations

Work with designers and makers on collaborations, pattern launches, and promotional content. Liaise with sample knitters to ensure timely production and delivery of knitted samples. Engage with the knitting community online to build strong brand relationships and encourage creativity.

Requirements:

Strong understanding of the knitting and fibre arts world --

knitting ability and yarn knowledge are essential.

Proven experience in marketing, social media management, or content creation (preferably in a creative or craft industry), 3-5 years. Excellent photography and visual content skills (product styling and editing experience required). Strong writing and communication skills with an eye for detail and storytelling. Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines. Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite / Canva, Instagram Reels, and email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo,). Understanding of analytics and social media metrics.

Nice to Have:

Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify). Basic video editing skills. Graphic design or layout experience.
