(We want to be as flexible as possible and would be happy to discuss requests for alternative working hours at interview)

Contract Type:

We apply a career grade system to our Social Worker roles, meaning your starting salary will depend on your competencies, experience, and qualifications. We then support staff to progress through the career grade in line with their development against the requirements at each step of the grade.

To allow us to maintain the right balance of skills and experience across our team, we are ideally looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience of post qualifying practice in Social Work.

About this opportunity

Would you like to work in a positive, close-knit and supportive environment, where you can make a real impact in people's lives on a day-to-day basis? Join our Rural or Urban team and be part of a passionate group of professionals dedicated to achieving meaningful outcomes for the people we support.

We work with Older Adults and adults with physical disabilities aged 18+ offering you a rewarding role with real variety. You'll contribute to both our Enhanced Duty Function and longer-term casework, collaborating closely with colleagues across Occupational Therapy, Care Services, and Health to deliver the best possible support.

We offer a supportive 2-week induction programme, allowing you to confidently integrate into our team, including an introduction to Adult Social Care in Westmorland and Furness Council with our Advanced Practice Lead Team, where you will get the opportunity to meet your colleagues from across the Service

If you're looking for a role where you can grow your skills, feel valued, and make a positive difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.

Who we are looking for...

Adult Social Care vision is "People living in a place they call home with the people and things that they love, in communities where they look out for one another, doing the things that matter to them."

We are looking for the right people, with the right values and behaviours to join our teams across Adult Social Care. We'd like to hear more about you, your motivations, interests and values on your application, including what attracted you to this role and how you feel your values relate to the role.
