Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be aptitude and a passion for renewable energy. As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for the installation of solar panels and related equipment on residential and commercial properties, ensuring that systems are installed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Install wire and commission solar PV systems, panels, inverters, batteries, EV chargers and other related equipment according to specifications and safety standards. Work on rooftops and ground-mounted systems, both domestic and commercial. Be prepared to travel in approximately a 100 mile radius from Preston. Utilise hand tools and power tools to complete installations effectively. Carry out maintenance, fault-finding and system upgrades as needed working with other team members. Ensure compliance with electrical and building regulations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations including working at height. Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally on site.

Qualifications

Proven knowledge with hands-on experience in installation or construction roles. Electrical experience particularly in relation to solar energy systems NVQ Level 3 Electrical installation or equivalent. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A valid UK driver's licence is essential. Troubleshooting and speaking directly with equipment manufacturer
