We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Children's Nurse to join our dynamic and forward thinking team at Bradford Royal Infirmary for a fixed term of 9 months. The successful candidate will be joining ward 12 which is part of our Children and Young People's unit. The unit also consists of ward 30/32 .
Ward 12 is the day case ward, it has 14 beds. We care for children undergoing planned and acute surgery under many specialities for example ENT, general, plastic, maxillo-facial and ophthalmology. We also run a paediatric haematology service from a dedicated area of the ward. Children who have respiratory conditions such as cystic fibrosis attend an ambulatory service on the ward for IV therapy and physiotherapy. We also run a pre-assessment clinic and a wound/dressing clinic.
We offer a 2 week supernumerary period to all new starters with an option to extend the period. A bespoke training package is offered to all staff.
