We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring students of all ages. As a Dance Instructor, you will play a crucial role in developing students' skills, confidence, and love for dance in a supportive and creative environment. This position is not close to a station so the ideal person will be able to drive.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
Teach a variety of dance styles, ensuring that each class is informative, enjoyable, and promotes creativity.
Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their technique and performance.
Organise and prepare students for shows or showcases as required.
Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere that fosters student growth.
Collaborate with other instructors to develop class schedules and curriculum enhancements.
Ensure the studio is kept clean, safe, and well-organised for all participants.
Stay updated on current dance trends and techniques to continually enhance teaching methods.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dance Instructor or in a similar role within the performing arts sector.
Proficiency in various dance styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop).
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
A genuine passion for teaching and fostering a love for dance in others.
Certification in dance instruction or relevant qualifications is advantageous but not essential. ISTD Ballet/Modern and Tap specifically.
First Aid certification and DBS checked
