Are you passionate about supporting individuals to live vibrant, fulfilling lives? Do you have a friendly, approachable nature and a good sense of humour? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
About Ryan:
Ryan is a young man with a rich personality and a wonderful sense of humour, once he feels comfortable. He is shy at first but quickly opens up to those he trusts. Ryan loves outdoor activities, especially experiencing changing weather, he even uses desk fans to create windy effects indoors. He enjoys physical activities, including his physiotherapy programme and bouncing on his garden trampoline.
Ryan is a keen traveller and loves exploring all forms of transport, planes, trains, buses, cars, and lifts. He enjoys planning trips using Google Maps and has a C+1 card to help facilitate this hobby. Ryan has a car and requires support from a driver with a valid license for trips and errands.
He adores big shopping centres with high ceilings and atriums, as well as visiting cinemas to watch DC and Marvel action movies. Music is a big passion, he loves listening to various genres on TV and devices, and has a dedicated music therapy suite in his garden for his instruments.
Ryan also enjoys swimming, whether in pools with rapid rivers and wave machines or diving for sinkers in a quieter pool. He communicates using AAC technology via handheld devices, preferring to touch type rather than use symbols. Excellent communication skills are essential.
A technology enthusiast, Ryan plays games on consoles and handheld devices, and he will need support with his tech, keeping devices charged, updated, and functioning properly.
As Ryan is moving into his first home, he will need assistance with everyday living skills such as housekeeping (bed making, laundry, cleaning) and developing confidence in managing these tasks. Due to gastric difficulties, his diet is restricted; therefore, some basic cooking skills are necessary to help him prepare suitable meals.

Passionate about supporting outdoor activities, travel, music, and swimming
