We're hiring

temporary retail staff

to join us at the

Canterbury Christmas Market

! From

12th November to 24th December 2025

, we're looking for friendly, flexible team members to help with the daily running of our cabin/stall. This is an outdoor, temporary role, so we're especially interested in people who can adapt to changing conditions and are available to work - and potentially pick up extra hours - throughout the event.

Responsibilities:

Drive sales while maintaining a strong customer focus Create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all customers Handle cash and card transactions accurately and securely Communicate customer and product feedback to the wider team Carry out opening and closing procedures for the stall Ensure asset protection and compliance with daily operational practices Assist with stock maintenance, including receiving and processing deliveries Support with setting up and packing down the stall each day

Skills & Requirements:

Previous retail or hospitality experience (essential) Strong communication skills and a positive team-player attitude Excellent time management and organisational skills High attention to detail Flexible and adaptable to changing work demands Goal-oriented with a focus on customer service and sales productivity

Physical Requirements:

Flexible availability, including varied hours and days to meet business needs This role is outdoors, so comfort working in different weather conditions is essential Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shifts Ability to lift and carry up to 10 kg Comfortable unpacking, moving, and organising stock during receiving and replenishment
