The Role
We are recruiting a
Weaver
to join our Weaving Department on a permanent rotating shift pattern. Previous weaving experience is essential.
We are looking for someone who can:
Learn quickly
Communicate effectively and work well in a team
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, including fault finding and identifying yarn defects
Manage and prioritise their own workload
Work confidently on their own when required
Remain calm under pressure
Maintain a positive and practical housekeeping ethic
Demonstrate an understanding of health and safety matters
Your duties will include:
Running and monitoring the operation of weaving machines
Ensuring woven cloth meets quality specifications off the loom
Maximising machine efficiency and performance
Tying weaving knots to the correct standard
Moving pieces from the loom and handling products safely
Engaging in quality and continuous improvement processes
Following all work instructions accurately
Working safely and identifying potential issues before they arise
Cleaning and maintaining machine areas
Ensuring correct yarns and counts are selected and allocated for use
Carrying out any other tasks related to weaving production
Working Hours
Week 1:
Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm (30-minute unpaid break each day)
Week 2:
Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm - 12:00am (30-minute unpaid break each day)
