Our people are passionate at what they do and are committed to providing exceptional customer service.Our large fleet includes a range of waste handling trucks, commercial vehicles and plant machinery.About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Quality Inspector to join the team at our busy Bellshill facility.The successful applicant will be required to undertake inspections to all vehicle types falling within the DVSA testing guidelines and be competent in completing an MOT inspection to the standards that would be applied by the DVSA,. By identifying any or all failure points prior to the vehicles actual test will ensure we are providing exceptional customer service whilst ensuring the best solutions for both our business and the customer.Responsibilities: 1. Following the tester's manual and process and procedures, complete a full inspection identifying and recording all areas of maintenance that would fail a DVSA MOT test.2. Accurately record all defects and advise the workshop foreman of all test results with a detailed report.3. Use the results of the audit inspections to educate and raise the maintenance standards and identify failure trends.4. Stay up to date with all new and pending road worthiness legislation and apply new Law to the test procedure.5. Build up a good working relationship with the team and use results to improve standards in a constructive manner6. Develop recording methods and communication process's to enable the site General manager to be fully appraised at all times of any serious breaches in maintenance conformance.7. Deliver a level of excellence that in turn will deliver a 1st time pass rate of 100%8. Provide our customer base with a high level of trust and confidence in the process being undertaken on every inspection.9. Audit external service providers to ensure that they are achieving service level agreements and associated KPI's and support supplier review meetings to ensure the highest level of quality is delivered.10. Undertake off site vehicle condition inspections and submit reports to Service Controller & Workshop Manager.To be successful in this role you will need - A full clean driving licence C+E Driving Licence (Preferable) City & Guilds parts 1,2, and 3 in Heavy Motor Vehicle Technology or NVQ equivalent A Technician's certificate. (Desirable) The ability to communicate clearly in oral and written form. Ability to understand technical specification.
