This is a day shift role (09:00-17:00) but may require some flexibility on start/end times. This role involves working in a chilled environment.

They acquired in 2008, the Oldford dairy site (Somerset) and heavily invested in new, state-of-the-art, chilled desserts product lines, unique on the market.

The company has experienced rapid growth becoming a top 150 UK food & drink business in 2020. This growth has been driven across both the preserves and desserts categories through the success of the Bonne Maman brand as well as an extensive private label activity. The products are either imported or produced in the dedicated chilled dessert facility in the South West of England. There is an ambitious investment plan for the coming years.

To support this growth we are now seeking a Warehouse Team Lead to to join our fast-paced dairy dessert production facility. This role involves managing a team to ensure we accurately mix pallets of product for despatch, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, operational efficiency and ensuring traceability.

This role involves working in a chilled environment and using a forklift. However, full training can be provided.



Main tasks and responsibilities:



Ensure the team select and mix products according to pallet specifications and customer orders Ensure accurate counts and correct product placement on each pallet Maintain a clean and organised workspace to support food safety and efficiency Use handheld scanners or paperwork to verify inventory and order details Collaborate with production and despatch teams to meet daily targets Keep paperwork accurate for traceability purposes and update computer system as required Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or stock shortages promptly Adhere to health & safety and hygiene protocols at all times
Skills & Requirements

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks Good numeracy skills for counting, measuring, and verifying product quantities Ability to work independently and as part of a team This is a manual role, so candidates must be capable of lifting and moving products safely Previous experience in a warehouse or food production environment is desirable but full training can be given
Reach Fork Lift Truck licence desirable but training can be given
