IT Support Technician required to join a focussed team, providing support to many diverse customers across Southampton for this well established IT support company.
The Role:
As part of the small team of IT Support Technicians, it will be your responsibility to resolve faults that arise on a daily basis, combined with maintenance tasks and new installations of IT hardware.

  • Provide desktop support for operating system and application issues
  • Be involved in the day to day running of the helpdesk
  • Managing anti-virus & backups systems;
  • Deploying new applications;
  • Configuring new equipment such as Network Attached Storage devices, routers & switches
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
The role will be suited to someone who seeks a role in which they can develop their skills and knowledge working as a key part of a small team. No two days will be the same in this role and so the successful candidate will thrive on a dynamic working environment.
About You:
As an IT Support Engineer, experienced in a similar role, in a similar environment is essential.
Good telephone and written communication skills are a must. The successful candidate should be confident in their ability to provide support, be dynamic and able to problem solve efficiently maintaining confidence under pressure.
Essential experience / skills required:
  • Experience within a relevant IT Support role
  • Microsoft Office applications (2010, 2013, 2016)
  • Microsoft Exchange Server (2007, 2010, 2013)
  • Microsoft Windows Server (2008, 2012)
  • Hardware troubleshooting
  • Basic router/firewall configuration
