The project involves the implementation and optimization of SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) to support enhanced logistics execution and transportation planning processes across the organization. The objective is to streamline transportation operations, improve visibility, and reduce overall transportation costs through automation and improved system integration.
The scope includes the end-to-end design, configuration, development (where applicable), and testing of TM processes to meet defined business requirements. This includes close collaboration with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical experts to ensure the solution aligns with both operational needs and strategic objectives.
Scope of Task
The consultant will be responsible for the following deliverables and activities within the SAP Transportation Management (TM) project scope:
Validation of Business Requirements
Completion of Design Items (functional and technical)
TM Customizing per Process
TM Development per Process (if developer)
Testing & Documentation Unit testing, single function testing, and documentation according to customer guidelines
All necessary information and documentation will be provided by SAP in advance.
Sourcing Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP TM Consultant to support our project through the design, configuration, and testing phases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP TM processes, including customizing and technical design. Development skills (e.g., ABAP or enhancement frameworks) are a plus but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Validate business requirements and ensure alignment with SAP TM capabilities
Complete all relevant design documentation (functional and technical)
Execute TM customizing tasks per process requirements
Implement required developments and perform technical testing
Conduct unit testing and single function testing; document outcomes per customer standards
Profile Requirements:
Proven experience in SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM)
Strong knowledge of TM configuration and process integration
Ability to produce clear and complete functional/technical documentation
Development capabilities (ABAP, enhancements) are a plus
