Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for personal care and supporting students with unique needs?

Role: Teaching Assistant (Specialising in Personal Care) Location: Twickenham Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (Starting in September)

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive support to a student who is a wheelchair user, ensuring their safety and wellbeing throughout the school day.
• Assist the student with personal care tasks, including toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance, following their individual care plan.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a consistent and personalized approach to the student\'s education and development.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment within the mainstream classroom, promoting independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
• Implement strategies and adaptations to facilitate the student\'s engagement and participation in classroom activities, enabling them to access the curriculum alongside their peers.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a special educational needs (SEN) or inclusive setting.
• Proficiency in providing personal care and assistance to students with physical disabilities, including wheelchair users.
• A compassionate and patient approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting the student\'s individualized education plan.
• Understanding of safeguarding and health and safety procedures related to personal care.
