1 x Permanent Class Teacher from January 2026 - We are looking to recruit an experienced teacher, ideally in KS1.

The Leaders and Governors of Wybourn Community Primary & Nursery School, are seeking a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our wonderful school.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a stimulating learning environment and building positive relationships with our children. They will work hard to engage students in the curriculum to reach their potential; promote academic and social development and must bring enthusiasm and a positive outlook to further enhance our staff team. This role requires strong communication skills, a desire to work as part of a team, a solid understanding of education principles and effective behaviour management strategies.

The school is part of the Sheffield South East Trust (SSET) which was formed in 2016 and unites seven local primary schools. The schools within the Trust work closely together for the benefit of the children and communities they serve. There are many opportunities for support, training and networking between the schools and other schools in our local area to support the successful candidate's ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

Develop. plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to diverse learning styles and needs. Educate students in all areas of the curriculum, ensuring comprehension and retention of material. Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as necessary. Employ effective behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues and other staff regarding student performance and classroom activities. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
Experience

Qualified Teacher Status is essential. Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is essential, particularly in relation to KS1 and delivering phonics sessions. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds is essential for success in this role.
