Job Description

We are looking to appoint a patient, fun and highly motivated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support one of our children with early years care.

The position is a wonderful opportunity for somebody who has an interest in special educational needs and is passionate about helping children to learn and develop.

As a one-to-one support assistant, you would work closely with the Room Leader and SENCo to encourage the child to develop their play and social skills.

The role will be working in collaboration with the Room Leader, Nursery Manager and SENCo.

The successful candidate should:

Have experience of supporting children with additional needs.
Have experience of working in an Early Years environment and have knowledge of the curriculum.
Be able to establish constructive partnerships with parents and colleagues.
The successful candidate should have a good understanding of how children learn through play and a secure knowledge of the role of the adult in supporting and scaffolding play.
Be NVQ3 qualified
*Have a relevant SEN qualification

*Recent and relevant SEN experience is essential

This position is for 3 days a week, 8 hours per day, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.

Pay: 12.50-14.45 per hour
