We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to assist a bright, polite, and articulate gentleman in his 30s who has Osteogenesis Imperfecta - a complex physical disability.
He relies on his powered wheelchair for mobility and enjoys keeping busy, completing daily tasks, attending community outings, and visiting a variety of different places and attractions to explore.
This role requires compassion, patience, and understanding. Your presence will offer dependable support, helping the service user navigate daily life with ease.
Key Responsibilities
Promote independence and build confidence.
Establish a steady routine to maintain stability and reliability.
Accompany the service user to essential medical appointments.
Plan enjoyable outings, including scenic drives, coastal walks, visits to attractions, entertainment shows, garden centres, coffee shops, shopping centres, and more.

Available Schedules
Schedule One (16 hrs/week)
Wednesdays: 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Fridays: 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Sundays: 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Two Sundays per month)
Schedule Two (18 hrs/week)
Wednesdays: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Fridays: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Sundays: 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Each week)

Your Daily Tasks Will Include
Safely transporting the service user in a specially adapted automatic vehicle.
Providing personal care, including toileting, bathing, and dressing.
Supporting household tasks and running errands.
Jointly planning and accompanying the service user on daily outings, ensuring a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.

Work Environment
You will provide support in a clean, safe home setting where the service user lives with his mother. His main carer provides her assistance at different times, ensuring continuity of care.
