Contract Type: Fixed Term - for one term



Working Pattern: EITHER 20 hours per week (5 mornings per week) or



(5 days per week)



Location: Westbourne Primary School

To be successful in this role you will need to:

Essential Desirable

Qualifications

and training

English and maths qualifications to at least

Grade C or above at GCSE (or equivalent)

To be able to demonstrate good basic skills in

reading, writing and maths

Level 3 or above qualification NVQ or equivalent

qualifications, relevant to role

First Aid qualification

Experience o Experience of working in a primary school o Experience of working in a

school with children with

additional needs

Skills and

knowledge

Knowledge of Child Protection, and Health and

Safety practices

Ability to establish effective, positive

relationships with children

Ability to be a good role model to children and

have a commitment to helping all children

achieve their potential

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and

in writing

Good organisational and timekeeping skills, and

able to meet deadlines, follow instruction and

use own initiative

Additional training or

qualifications in learning

support e.g. Social and

Emotional Mental Health

Needs, Speech and Language

support

To be, resilient and able to work under own
