A welcoming and supportive primary school in the South Croydon area is seeking a

dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant

to support a

Year 5 student with SEN

on a full?time basis.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference, building confidence, and helping a child thrive both academically and emotionally.


About the Role



Provide

1:1 support

for a Year 5 pupil with additional needs Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and pastoral team Support learning, emotional regulation and classroom engagement Help implement personalised strategies and tailored interventions Create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate



Experience supporting children with

SEN

(autism, communication needs, SEMH or learning difficulties beneficial) Empathetic, patient and consistent in approach Strong communication skills and confidence supporting upper KS2 Able to build positive, trusting relationships quickly Reliable, proactive and committed to supporting pupil progress
