We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with a particular focus on supporting children in their learning journeys. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational requirements.
Duties
Provide
one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions
focused on 11 Plus preparation, tailored to each student's individual strengths and areas for improvement.
Design and deliver engaging lesson plans
that cover all 11 Plus components, including English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning, in line with exam board requirements.
Track student progress
through regular assessments and practice tests, offering detailed feedback to help students refine their skills and boost performance.
Create a positive, encouraging learning environment
that builds student confidence, motivation, and resilience under exam conditions.
Work collaboratively
with parents, teachers, and other education professionals to ensure consistent support and communication about student progress.
Adapt teaching techniques
to suit different learning styles and abilities, providing additional support for students who require extra guidance or special education accommodations.
Experience
Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children of varying ages.
Familiarity with special education practices is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and their families.
A patient and empathetic approach to teaching, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
