Job Summary


We are urgently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in providing exceptional learning experiences for children, particularly those with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with individuals with disabilities, including autism, and possess excellent communication skills. This role is vital in fostering an inclusive environment where all students can thrive. Must be able to start As soon as possible

Responsibilities



Need previous SEN ta experience Will be working 1:1 with a year one student who has autism Must be willing to participate during break times and whole class activities. Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of students, particularly those with autism and other disabilities. Support the individual learning plans for children, ensuring that each student receives appropriate guidance and encouragement. Provide one-on-one support to students during lessons, helping them to stay focused and engaged. Facilitate communication between students and teachers, ensuring that all voices are heard and understood. Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment. Help with the care of toddlers as needed, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day. Collaborate with other staff members to develop strategies for supporting students with special educational needs. Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to assessments as required.

Experience



Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities, is essential. A background in teaching or supporting individuals with autism is highly desirable. Familiarity with toddler care practices will be beneficial in this role. Strong communication skills are necessary for effectively engaging with students, parents, and colleagues. A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of all learners is crucial.
