11+ Specialist/tutor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced 11+ specialist to review, improve, and update our current 11+ curriculum, ensuring it aligns with best practices, incorporates the latest exam trends, and reflects our values of continual improvement, using principles from the Kaizen approach.

Key Responsibilities

Audit and review our current 11+ curriculum, including English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning. Identify gaps, redundancies, and areas for improvement. Develop or revise schemes of work and learning objectives aligned to key 11+ entrance requirements. Integrate Kaizen-informed practices into planning and delivery -- with an emphasis on incremental progress, student motivation, and continuous improvement. Create engaging, structured content and assessments that reflect the format and challenge of leading grammar school entrance exams. Liaise with the leadership team to ensure alignment with our wider education strategy and learner needs.
As a tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' academic success. Qualifications



Proven experience in tutoring and teaching, particularly for 11+ curriculum Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students and parents Background in special education, with a focus on supporting diverse learning needs Experience working with children in educational settings Commitment to continuous improvement and application of Kaizen principles in teaching methods Proficiency in English language instruction and assessment techniques
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 12.21-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
