Job Description

Join our dynamic Transaction Banking (TB) team and play a crucial role in supporting a wide range of functions and needs. This position offers the opportunity to assist with research, preparation of files for KYC, business committees, credit processes, and legal documentation. You will liaise with various departments within the bank, including international networks and Head Office, as well as Back/Middle Office and other Support Functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong competencies in multitasking, proactive problem-solving, and maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Support the TB team in general across all functions including research and preparation of files.
  • Assist in producing call reports of client meetings, pitch documentation, and updating and disseminating client information.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments across sectors and industries covering Cash Management (CM), Short Term Credit (STC), Receivables & Supply Chain Finance (RSF), and other relevant products.
  • Promote and support the development of TB UK capabilities with Head Office and our International Network.
  • Collaborate closely with ITB product lines, especially Global Trade and Commodities (GTC) and Global Sales and Advisory.
  • Ensure compliance with budget, financial control, RPC, audit, and regulatory requirements as appropriate.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts (income, assets, expenses).
Risk Management:
  • Prepare and submit waiver requests and amendments to the Risk Department.
  • Follow the credit sanctioning process by preparing credit applications and presenting them to the relevant ITB committee.
  • Assist in the preparation of Credit Applications and advise on proposed levels of participation.
  • Assess transactions for structure, reputation, technical, and operational risks.
  • Provide timely advice to the Credit Department on any changes in the quality of deals/transactions.
Client and Counterparty Engagement:
  • Support the team in maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing clients and targeting new clients as per the business plan.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with Corporates and Financial Institutions involved with ITB products.
  • Attend local coverage meetings to discuss current issues, business strategy, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Develop marketing/promotional material and presentations for clients and CREDIT AGRICOLE GROUP staff following reviews.

Minimal education level

Academic qualification / Speciality
  • Must have graduated within the past 18 months
Experience
  • Some prior experience or coursework in Corporate/Structured Finance or Credit analysis
  • Experience in Cash Management and/or Trade Finance is desirable
