About the Role

We're offering a 12-month industrial placement for a motivated student to join our team and play a key role in transforming how we manage and utilize operational data. The role focuses on collecting, tagging, and structuring data from our production shop floor and ERP systems, aligning it with our digital strategy to feed into a global data.

Key Objectives

Work hands-on with production and ERP data sources to map and extract key operational signals. Develop and apply tagging and classification standards to improve data context and usability. Structure raw data into usable formats for integration into our global data lake platform. Collaborate with operations, IT, and data teams to understand processes and identify value-adding data points. Support the development of dashboards, reports, or pipelines that turn raw data into actionable insights.

Ideal Candidate

Studying towards a degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Familiar with databases, data models, and basic data wrangling (SQL, Python, Visual Studios, OPC UA etc.). Strong analytical mindset with interest in manufacturing, IOT and enterprise systems. Able to work independently and communicate across teams.

Learning Outcomes

Real-world experience in manufacturing digitisation and Industry 4.0 initiatives. Exposure to ERP systems, production operations, and enterprise data architecture. Mentorship from experienced professionals and contribution to meaningful projects. Opportunity to influence how data drives decision-making in a global context.
