We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries across various locations. Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to deliver goods to specified destinations. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met. Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies. Communicate with dispatchers and clients professionally regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit. Assist in warehouse operations when required, including inventory management and stock organisation. Follow all road safety regulations and company policies to uphold high standards of safety.

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver, preferably with warehouse experience. Valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle type, including a driver qualification if applicable. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues. Experience driving flatbed lorries or similar vehicles is desirable. Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members and clients effectively. Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation.
