Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in using power tools. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The Carpenter will work on a variety of projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Perform joinery tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. Use power tools effectively for tasks such as framing, roofing, and flooring. Execute masonry work as required for specific projects. Conduct electrical installations where applicable to enhance functionality. Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to specifications. Carry out painting tasks to finish surfaces as needed. Assist with heavy lifting of materials and equipment during construction processes. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. Strong skills in joinery, roofing, masonry, and basic electrical work are highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with carpentry work. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driving licence may be beneficial for transportation to job sites.
