Job Summary


Vissensa is recruiting for a 1st line support engineer to join the team on our busy ServiceDesk reporting to the Technical Director. The desk is involved in all aspects of running a global Managed Service operation for multiple clients and will expose the successful candidate to a range of technologies that Vissensa uses to configure, deploy and manage our clients' systems and services including Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams), Microsoft Azure (Azure AD, Backup, SQL, SaaS and Dynamics), Linux, VMwareHyper-V, Veeam with many more.

We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate a good level of technical problem-solving skills & abilities and who want to progress their technical career using the latest hardware & software products and have access to the latest industry training.

The position offers both home and office working options through a mutually agreed flexible schedule within operational hours of 8am to 6pm. The candidate will rotate shifts, working either 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm as required. As operations run 24/7, participation in an on-call rota for out-of-hours calls--including internal and client systems related to P1/P2 events is required. However, visiting locations is not part of this role's responsibilities.

Part of the main probation criteria is to complete and pass two Microsoft certifications which will be agreed with the successful candidate once hired. Once the candidate has passed their probation period, access to further training is available which will be granted where it is beneficial to both the candidate and business.

Requirements



Candidates will need good interpersonal skills which allows for good team working and a good phone manner to successfully deal with customers over the phone throughout the troubleshooting process. The candidate would need to show the ability to work on tasks alone or as part of the team when required. Troubleshooting client issues using remote tools and over the phone is major part of the job so we are looking for someone who can think clearly under pressure if needed, therefore the experience of the candidate should include troubleshooting, vendor management and client response liaison.

Knowledge and understanding of ticketing systems Knowledge of PC hardware troubleshooting Knowledge of working with Remote Management Tools Conceptual or working understanding of Microsoft 365 and Azure Conceptual or working understanding of networks and network equipment Experience of working as part of a Technical Support team
Once fully onboarded, the successful candidate will be expected to:

Work with the current technical team to enhance existing service offerings Manage the monitoring and analysis tools and report any requirements Ensure problems and requests of assistance are kept within agreed SLA's Deliver solutions into new and existing clients in both PublicPrivate Cloud environments Assist in the ongoing support and development of customer environments

Salary Ranges



The salary ranges for this role reflect the statutory are-realted pay bands

Ages 18-20: 22,000 - 26,000

(depending on experience & qualifications)*
Ages 21+: 26,000 - 30,00

(depending on experience & qualifications)*

Our Castle Malwood office has free parking, and is a relaxed, rural location. There is no public transport so candidates will need to have a way of getting to the main offices.

Pay: 22,000.00-30,000.00 per year
