AFC Fylde is seeking a dedicated 1st Team Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist to play a key role in supporting our Head of Medical and ensuring the highest standards of care for our players. What You'll Be Doing

Deliver day-to-day assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play protocols for all football departments. Implement injury prevention strategies and assist with annual injury audits. Plan and deliver annual screening and physical testing for first team players. Provide accurate assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based injury management. Deliver high-quality treatment and rehabilitation sessions, including manual therapy, gym, and pitch-based rehab. Maintain accurate medical notes and communicate effectively with the Head of Medical. Support fit players with daily maintenance, strapping, and soft tissue massage. Attend all home games and travel to away games as required, providing emergency pitch-side cover. Support the Academy and Women's Medical departments as needed. Contribute to the education of placement students and drive a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all club policies, including health and safety, safeguarding, and confidentiality.

About You

Essential Experience:

BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, or Sports Rehabilitation, with current registration and insurance (HCPC, CSP, BASRaT). Pitch side first aid qualification (ITMMiF minimum; ATMMiF desirable). Minimum 2 years' post-graduate experience in a musculoskeletal setting. Experience working with athletes and understanding the demands of professional football. Proven ability to manage acute injuries, return-to-play protocols, and interdisciplinary rehab planning.
