 The Apprenticeship: 
 We have a fantastic opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering apprentice to join the Industrial Operations function with the Leonardo Helicopters division. 
 Over the 4 year programme, in conjunction with the Industrial Operations Manufacturing Engineering team and the Early Careers team, you will have the opportunity to input into the design of your training scheme to include placements which give an insight into the complete Helicopter Product Life Cycle. 
 Typically, your placements will consist of 3-6 month rotations across the Industrial Operations function. You will be involved in a broad range of activities such as; the creation of technical specifications for delivery, solving daily manufacturing problems, liaising with external suppliers for internal products and manufacturing issues. You will take an active role in Business improvement, and have the opportunity to carry out improvement activities. You will be able to utilise your problem-solving techniques to conduct non-conformance investigations and be involved in the creation of manufacturing routings, process sketches and stage drawings to support the manufacturing process. 
 The apprenticeship will start with an Induction into Leonardo, followed by a Yeovil College Induction to ensure that apprenticeship requirements and expectations are fully established. 
 You will combine your time between Yeovil College and work placements at Leonardo Helicopters, increasing your work placements as you move through the years. 
 Each Apprentice on this route will need to complete an End Point Assessment as defined in the Apprenticeship Standard, this will take place in the final months of the program.
