Entry Requirements - Level 3 Apprenticeship

  • Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above
  • Essential: Maths and English
  • Beneficial subjects: ICT, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology
Entry Requirement - Degree level
  • 3 A Levels in related subjects (Grades BBC)
  • or equivalent
What You'll Do
As a School/College Leaver Electrical Engineering Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on real-world automation and Electrical projects. You'll learn by doing, gradually building confidence and responsibility as your skills grow.
You will:
  • Learn hands-on electrical engineering skills, including wiring, panel building, and fault finding
  • Assist with installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems for automated machinery
  • Support the integration of electrical systems with software and mechanical components
  • Read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Develop problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills to build a strong engineering career

  • A strong interest in electrical engineering, automation, or robotics
  • Curious, hands-on, and keen to learn how things work
  • Motivated, reliable, and proactive
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
Optional but Advantageous
  • Experience with electronics kits, wiring, or practical projects
  • Participation in STEM clubs, robotics teams, or engineering competitions
  • Personal projects involving electronics, circuits, or control systems
  • Work experience or taster sessions in engineering or technical environments
