The team:
The purpose of Group Internal Audit (GIA) is to strengthen Schroders' ability to create, protect, and sustain value by providing the Board and management with independent, risk-based, and objective assurance, advice, and insights. To achieve this, GIA provides challenge and assurance over the Group's control environment, risk management and governance arrangements implemented by management. Accordingly, GIA comprises the 'third line of defence' and works closely with Business teams and Risk & Compliance functions - the 'first' and 'second' lines of defence, respectively.
GIA operates globally from headquarters in London, with permanent teams in Luxembourg and Singapore. The department consists of approximately 25 professionals from diverse backgrounds in practice, industry, and specialisms, organised into sub-teams covering Asset Management (public and private markets), Wealth Management, and Operations & Technology. The team is led by the Head of Group Internal Audit, reporting primarily to the Chair of the Board Audit and Risk Committee and secondarily to the Group Chief Executive.
Knowledge, experience and qualifications we're looking for:
An honours degree or equivalent - we're not fussed when it comes to your degree subject
You will be in your final year of study or already graduated
A good working knowledge of document production software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
