We are seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be principally carrying out EICRs and PAT in public buildings, but may also re required to carry out a variety of electrical installations, maintenance, and testing works in both domestic and commercial environments. Projects range from residential properties to office buildings, retail spaces, schools, and light industrial units. Occasional working away may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete electrical certification (EICRs, Minor Works, Installation Certificates).
Portable Appliance Testing
Carry out periodic inspection and testing in line with the latest wiring regulations (BS 7671).
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, heating systems, and safety controls.
Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard, meeting relevant safety and building regulations.
Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and other trades on-site.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
Adhere to company health and safety policies and safe working practices.
Key Qualifications & Certifications:
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures, and the Environment)
or equivalent.
City & Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
- Essential*.
City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing)
- Essential*.
City & Guilds 2377 (In Service Inspection of Electrical Equipment) -
Desirable - will have to work towards*
ECS Gold Card
or proof of equivalent competency.
