2D Design Director

The Role

This is a full time role working on one of our pillar accounts. As Design Director you will lead a team of 4 to include a senior designer, a junior designer and 2 creative art workers, you'll also collaborate with other key disciplines across the business. The successful candidate will lead all creative vision, output and strategic direction for the brand, packaging and multiple campaigns as well as collaborating with the client and other external agencies.

The work includes brand guardianship and strategy, in-store communications, packaging, promotions, social media, POS, photography and art direction.

The Ideal Candidate will ........

Have exceptional organisational skills

Have a keen interest in fashion and design as a minimum, retail would be a bonus

Be highly experienced leading and mentoring a team, inspiring creativity and innovation

Have strong initiative and a proactive approach

Confident guiding projects from discovery and conception through to execution

A skilled communicator who can present work persuasively
to clients and stakeholders alike

Honed ability to take direction and build on constructive feedback

Be willing to collaborate across all disciplines

Have the ability to participate creatively in client meetings and brainstorming sessions

Have great knowledge of design applications with emphasis on Adobe Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and photoshop

Preferred Experience & Education

A graphic design or similar creative degree

Experience in brand comms at retail is important, retail graphics and POS

Fashion, sport or health and beauty client experience

Experience in leading and mentoring a team, appraisals and team development
