Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Develop and implement innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences. Supervise kitchen staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards to ensure a safe working environment. Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimising waste. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices. Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment is essential. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is required. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervising and managing kitchen teams. Excellent culinary skills with the ability to create diverse menus that cater to various dietary needs. Experience in food production techniques, including cooking methods, presentation styles, and flavour pairing. A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to help others grow within the kitchen team is highly valued.
