Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and be proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools. This role involves working on various projects, including roofing, joinery, and masonry, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities



Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Fabricate and assemble wooden structures such as frames, doors, and cabinets. Perform roofing tasks, ensuring proper installation and maintenance. Execute joinery work with precision to create strong joints between materials. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks. Measure, cut, and shape materials accurately to meet project specifications. Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square as per building codes. Assist with basic masonry tasks as required by the project. Carry out painting and finishing work to enhance the appearance of completed projects. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, including roofing, joinery, and masonry. Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, saws) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders). Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good physical stamina and strength for lifting heavy materials when necessary. A valid driver's licence is preferred but not essential.

Pay: 24.00-26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
