We're seeking a part time 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer to join our IT Service Desk Team - a key role in supporting our organisation to improve technology use and allow colleagues to work smarter, now and into the future.
In this varied and fast-paced role, you'll provide an effective and customer focused 2nd line support service in the field, covering all of our business systems and equipment across our estate of offices and schemes. As the technical point of escalation, you'll take ownership of service requests by diagnosing and resolving faults from colleagues and contractors, meeting or exceeding defined targets. Importantly, you'll act as a Service Owner for some of Midland Heart's IT services - the Service Delivery Team are embarking on an exciting period of transition so continuous improvement will be at the forefront of services you'll drive forward.
This is a part time role working onsite on a Wednesday and Thursday, on a rota between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
Our ideal candidate?
Previous IT Service Desk experience, including 2nd line support in the field.
Strong technical expertise, including knowledge and experience of IT hardware and software including Microsoft Azure administration, business applications, desktop applications, Audio Visual equipment, Intune mobile device management, wider telephony and networking.
Enthusiasm and adaptability when it comes to transformation and change - you'll play a key role in driving continuous improvement by seeking out improvement opportunities and utilising your enthusiasm to bring your peers on the journey!
Our sites span a wide geographical area so candidates must be able to evidence the ability and willingness to travel with kit to remote areas of the Midlands region, often inaccessible by public transport, and at short notice, to be considered for the role.
