Careline Operator (Casual)

, you'll be part of a 24-hour service that supports vulnerable and older people to remain safe and independent in their homes. This vital role places you at the heart of our emergency response service, offering reassurance, guidance, and action when it matters most.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll be responding to emergency calls, supporting out-of-hours housing services, and contributing to a seamless customer experience. If you're calm, compassionate, and committed to delivering exceptional service, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities



Handle emergency social alarm calls and respond in line with policies and procedures to ensure customer safety and wellbeing. Signpost or refer customers to relevant support services to enable a holistic approach to independent living. Provide responsive and professional cover for the organisation's emergency housing repairs, out-of-hours messaging, and CCTV monitoring services. Assist Elderly Services Officers by attending to emergency calls, which may include lifting or providing personal care. Accurately record customer interactions using bespoke call handling and platform software. Ensure inclusive and respectful communication in all customer interactions. Proactively report health and safety concerns and support continuous learning and improvement.

What you'll need to succeed



A full, clean driving licence and a willingness to travel locally when required. Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to remain composed and clear under pressure. A confident and compassionate approach to supporting older and vulnerable individuals. Experience in a customer-facing environment, ideally involving call handling or emergency response. Competence using Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) and the ability to learn bespoke systems quickly. A flexible attitude and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. A satisfactory DBS check will be required for this role.
