Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to clients and customers. Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and minimise delays. Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit. Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records of all transactions. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met. Follow all traffic laws and company policies during deliveries. Assist in warehouse activities as needed, including stock organisation and inventory checks.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehouse environments. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, often handling bulky or heavy items. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members. Strong organisational skills to plan routes efficiently and manage delivery schedules. Knowledge of local roads and navigation systems is preferred. Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality at all times.

Pay: 13.75-14.00 per hour
