Overview

Following contract wins, we are seeking reliable Delivery Drivers to join our team of 2 person crews. Experience is essential and no application without the relevant experience will be accepted.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional service while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries - not everything is controllable, a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt is essential.

This position will be driving a 3.5t van and delivering a mix of furniture, white goods and larger Ecommerce parcels to residential and business addresses as part of a 2 man team. For insurance purposes you must be over 30 with a clean driving history.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations. Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload items, which may involve heavy lifting, ensuring that all goods are handled with care. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and documenting any issues encountered during transit. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly. Experience essential of 2 man work - preferably with wet installations.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, with a strong understanding of driving protocols. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is essential; commercial driving experience is advantageous. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.

Pay: 110.00-140.00 per day
