Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our agency. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, ensuring the safe and timely transport of goods. This role requires excellent communication skills and mechanical knowledge to handle various driving tasks, including operating flatbed vehicles.

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to deliver perishable goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally. Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type. Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with flatbed operations is an advantage. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding logistics operations.
