Purpose & Scope

The role requires the Driver to "live and breathe" the One Team "RESPECT" values by making a good impression with appearance, manner and ensuring goods are delivered in a first-class condition. The role also requires the Driver to complete all necessary paperwork, cash collections and above all, leaving everyone you meet with a positive impression of the employee and the business.

Responsibilities

Warehouse work to involve picking, packing and secure loading of vehicle. Complete vehicle daily inspection to ensure vehicle is ready for the day ahead Adhere to all company policies and procedures, to include the Company Standards of Performance and Health and Safety Policy. Count and collect money from customers as instructed to do so via special instructions on daily brief Fuel vehicles daily as per company policy. Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company's accident reporting procedure. Adhere to all UK laws regarding the vehicle and safe driving Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes Follow routes and time schedule Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients' complaints Inform customers about new products and services Complete logs and reports Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

Role Requisites

Ensure the vehicle driven is safe to be driven on UK roads. Ensure daily walk around checks are carried out to required standards. Ensure any defects are reported immediately to the Transport Coordinator Always ensure the safety of the vehicle and its contents. On arrival at delivery point vehicle is parked in a safe place not obstructing other road users Check all company equipment is working before leaving the depot Ensure all cash collections are make as per the special instructions on daily brief Placing the fridge freezer items in the correct location should the customer not be present Goods to be checked off with customer if present and signed for Communicate with our Shared Service Centre in a polite and professional manner Ensure all return products are reported in line with company procedures On return to depot vehicles are fuelled with road diesel ready for following day On return to depot all rubbish and cardboard is removed from the vehicle and cab cleared of rubbish Any vehicle defects are reported following the correct procedure Always be of a smart appearance wearing the company uniforms PPE must always be worn. Ability to work under pressure & flexibility towards the role Supporting the branch warehouse team daily with normal day to day duties pre and post deliveries

Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver Excellent organizational and time management skills Good driving record with no traffic violations Used to manual handling through day
