We are looking for a dependable and experienced

Van Driver

to join our food production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of food products, ensuring all deliveries meet quality, hygiene, and safety standards. This role suits an individual who is organised, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company van to deliver food products to designated locations in accordance with delivery schedules. Ensure all food items are handled, loaded, and transported in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Plan delivery routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Carry out daily vehicle checks, including cleanliness, fuel levels, and basic safety inspections. Load and unload food products carefully, ensuring goods are secured and protected during transit. Communicate clearly with supervisors, warehouse staff, and customers regarding deliveries or delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle checks. Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Experience and Requirements

Previous experience as a van or delivery driver, preferably within the food industry. Good understanding of food hygiene standards and safe handling practices. Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks is an advantage. Strong time management and organisational skills. Good communication skills and a professional manner. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record is essential.
