Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy machinery to assist in various construction and excavation projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, as well as the ability to dig and manoeuvre materials efficiently and safely.

Duties

Operate excavators and other heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Perform digging tasks to prepare sites for construction, including trenching and grading. Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Follow site plans and specifications accurately to meet project requirements. Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely project completion. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while on-site. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are stored properly.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not essential. Ability to read and interpret site plans and blueprints. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. Physical stamina and strength, with the capability to perform manual labour as required.
