Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating excavators safely and efficiently to assist with various earthmoving and site development tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in commercial driving to contribute to diverse projects within the construction sector.

Duties

Operate excavators and related heavy machinery in accordance with safety protocols and project specifications Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance Assist with site preparation, grading, trenching, and material handling tasks Coordinate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within budget Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage

Requirements

Proven experience operating excavators in a construction or industrial setting Strong understanding of health and safety standards related to heavy machinery operation Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads when necessary Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: From 22.00 per hour
