We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating excavators in various environments. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient completion of excavation tasks on construction sites. The Excavator Operator will be responsible for operating heavy machinery while adhering to safety regulations and project specifications.

Duties

Operate excavators to perform digging, lifting, and moving materials as required on site. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure functionality and safety. Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate excavation activities. Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Assist in the loading and unloading of materials as necessary, utilising commercial driving skills when required. Ensure the work area is kept clean and organised throughout the project duration.

Requirements

Proven experience operating excavators in a commercial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team. Commitment to adhering to safety standards and regulations at all times. Flexibility to work varying hours as needed based on project requirements.
