Overview
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at operating excavators for various construction and excavation projects. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Operate excavators to dig, move, and grade earth materials as per project specifications.
Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
Follow site plans and instructions from supervisors to execute tasks accurately.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow on site.
Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly.
Assist in loading and unloading materials as required, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
Qualifications
Proven experience operating excavators in a commercial setting is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with the equipment.
Ability to dig accurately according to project specifications and site plans.
Valid commercial driving licence is an advantage but not essential.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on site.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to undertake training as necessary for skill enhancement.
