Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Night Shift Excavator Operator to join our prestigious waste management client team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators safely and efficiently on waste plant located near Musselburgh, this is an ongoing placement working in the same location every day.

Responsibilities

As a Nightshift Machine Operator, you will be mainly responsible for moving material using 360 excavator with grab attachment and if you can operate a Telescopic Forklift that would be an advantage.

You will also be required to follow all safe systems of work, assisting other operatives and fill in any associated paperwork as such.

Working pattern - 5 days out of 7 based on rota system - Mon to Sun (up to 12 hours per day).

Main Duties and Responsibilities (maintenance):

Basic maintenance tasks around the plant (greasing, checks, etc.) Attend trainings and follow all instructions, information given General housekeeping of the working area as instructed by team leader Cooperating with management and co-workers Reporting issues to site management immediately Following all site health and safety rules Other duties as required

Requirements:

Good communicative English Able to work as a part of team Punctual, Flexible, and Reliable Friendly and Courteous Experience in Waste & Recycling is desirable but not essential NPORS Tickets
Follow all site safety rules (reporting procedures, PPE, smoking policy, emergency procedures)

Salary to be discussed. Pay package starts from 15.00 per hour.
