Westley Recruitment Ltd are seeking a skilled, EXPERIENCED and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team on

. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators safely and efficiently on various projects, ensuring the smooth progress of excavation activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in commercial driving to contribute to large-scale infrastructure developments. You will be driving mini diggers on this site but client has large fleet of diggers 20tonne and above. You will be working with finishing team and expected to be experienced with all aspects of groundworks.

This is not a role for a groundworker chancing it with digger ticket you wont last till breakfast if not the real deal and know what your doing

Duties

Operate excavators to perform digging, trenching, lifting, and material handling tasks according to project specifications. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on excavator equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with site managers and other construction personnel to coordinate excavation activities. Follow health and safety regulations diligently, maintaining a safe working environment at all times. Assist with loading and unloading materials using the excavator as required. Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any equipment issues promptly.

Skills

Proven experience operating excavators in a construction or industrial setting. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues with excavator machinery. Valid commercial driving licence, with experience in operating heavy machinery on public roads if required. Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and supervisors. MUST HAVE AT LEAST 10 YEARS EXPERIENCE AND NO DIGS OR FUEL WILL BE PROVIDED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 21.00-23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week

DIGGER DRIVING: 10 years (preferred)
